Richard Gordon

Board Position: Vice President
ADC Board Member Since: 2022

Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Education:
BA – Interior Design from Oklahoma State University

Day Job: Interior designer for over 3 decades. I love creating unique and personal home and office environments for my clients. I am lucky to travel all over the country with wonderful clients.
Musical Background and Interests: I was raised with a love of music and from an early age my parents encouraged us to learn a musical instrument and I learned a variety of both brass and string instruments. As for singing: sadly I did not get that gift and my ‘vocals’ are best confined to the shower.
Playing on My iTunes Now: I have music on all day long – so it depends on my mood; I am all over the map: Leon Russell, Lizzo, Jazzmeia Horn, Bach (anything with a cello), Aaron Copland, Brooks & Dunn
Bucket List Music-related Dinner Guests: Thinking big and a variety of both living and passed: Aretha Franklin, Ed Sheeran, Bach, Elton John, Ella Fitzgerald, Dolly Parton, Leon Russell and Miranda Lambert

Community Involvement Beyond ADC: Previously I have worked with a non-profit serving LGBTQ youth
Why I Devote My Time to ADC: I love music – it’s such a part of my everyday experience and I am impressed with the mission of ADC to bringing great choral music to everyone in the DFW area.
