ELIZABETH SMITH-ROSENBLOOM JOINS ARTS DISTRICT CHORALE BOARD

Dallas, TX - January 11, 2026

The Arts District Chorale (ADC) announces the election of Elizabeth Smith-Rosenbloom to its Board of Directors effective November 15, 2025. In addition to her service as Chair of the Outreach Committee, she will serve the Board as a Member at Large.

An alto with ADC since 2023, Elizabeth has enjoyed a love of music and singing since childhood, when she began singing solos in church and performing in the children's choral program in her hometown of Amarillo, TX. As a high school student in Colorado Springs, CO, she sang roles in Broadway musicals.

Elizabeth studied music and voice at both Southern Methodist University and Texas Tech University, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Upon graduation, she detoured from music and worked in the field of commercial real estate. As her family grew, she returned to the realm of music and taught elementary music publicly and privately for 30 years. She also directed choirs at First Presbyterian Church of Garland for 12 years and taught voice to high schoolers in Wylie ISD.

Complementing her love of travel, Elizabeth currently works as a travel advisor with Expedia Cruises. She is also a published author of two books: Teaching Children to Love Music - Lessons Learned from a Seasoned Music Educator, and How to Love Happily - Five Pillars to Create a Loving Relationship. She is married and the mother of five children. "Elizabeth is a great addition to our board," says ADC's Board President Anne Thomas. "I have enjoyed singing alongside her, as well as volunteering with her through ADC's involvement with ArtsVision. In addition to finding and vetting ADC's community service partners, she will be a real asset as we expand our service footprint in the Metroplex."

Asked about why she joined the board, Elizabeth states: "I enjoy being a part of the Arts District Chorale and performing with so many talented people. Having served as Chair of our Outreach Committee, I have seen firsthand how generous our organization and our audiences are when it comes to contributing to local non-profits to provide an array of needed items from gloves, scarves, socks, pancake mix, college-bound school supplies and children's snacks. I am honored and grateful to be a part of the ADC board!"
